I guess they didn't deep try them too long, I was really surprised that they were very tender and juicy.... yes tasted like chicken when I closed my eyes
this is my first time eating ants... because both this and the crickets have a lot of potato strings, i thought they were fundamentally similar... I couldn't resist; they were just for fun:)
LOL, I was just curious because I saw it on "Bizarre Food - LA" I don't think potato string is typical Taiwanese
to me, they have a very subtle acidic/bitter taste, but because of the potato strings, this feels like a dish that will go well with beer

yes deep-fried, so the outside is crunchy, it actually tastes better than its look...the cilantro sauce goes well with it..
