Fermented soy beans in a cup - supposed to mix w/ a raw egg and then eat w/ rice and seaweed.

The beans are kind of sticky, even if you pick up one bean w/ a chopstick, there's this sticky residue that follows. There is no taste (that I could detect) - I guess people eat it for texture?

I'm not a fan, however maybe would give it another try. I didn't know how to eat it at first, so that might make a difference.

yeah, not really a big fan of the raw egg, even the ones at yoshinoya.

I don't know how to eat it neither. The fermentation produces the slimes. The textual of the slimy beans in the mouth can be described in one word, "gross!" I believe people eat this because they believe the slime is healthly to the body. I am not a fan of this dish. I was brave enough to try it a few times when I was in a Japan tour. I have probably filled my life time quotas on nato.
