By jasmine 3 years ago I don't think they are. The purple yam is pretty purple (see http://www.tribo.org/vegetables/ube.html) while the taro looks to me like a regular potato (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taro).

By Yatouhi 2 years ago Just a side note, taro is used a a starch often for baking, like this well made cake! Sugar is no longer my friend either...but! I had a lifetimes worth anyway! very pretty picture, i put it as my desktop wall paper. thank you for the menu item!
