Looks like garlic naan or thousand layer pancake. What type of food is it?

I think they call it indian bread, but I've seen Naan, and it's much thicker than this. I'd say it's more like thousand layer pancake. (抓餅) but then I'm not Malaysian and I really can't say for sure.

It is my favorite. Strictly speaking it is Indian food because even on the Malaysian menu, it is translated to "Indian Bread". Ironically, you can find this in most Malaysian restaurants, but not in Indian restaurants. About 8% of population in Malaysia are Indians. So it could be Malaysian food with heavy Indian influence.

Naan is very thick like pita bread, but Roti Canai is like paper thin. I agree that it is somewhat like Chinese Jua Bien 抓餅 but probably 100 times less greasy. Besides, the curry dip makes all the difference.

I ate this with an Indian friend before in a Malaysian restaurant and he said the restaurant made it better than he could. That response indicated that India has a similar dish.
