Hot Dog with Rutts Special Relish
So I'm watching the travel channel, and there's a show showcasing the best hot dog spots in America. Rutts Hut in Clifton, NJ is different than other hot dog joints in that they deep fry their dogs. You are looking at a "ripper", called so because the skin rips apart when it is fried. If you want a regular dog, it's called an "in and outer", meaning it's dumped in the fryer just long enough to cook. They have a special house relish, "Rutt's Relish" a sweet and spicy condiment made with finely chopped onions, carrots, and cabbage. Being the fat f*&k that I am, I risked missing my flight for one of these. It was decent, but definately not worth missing a flight for.
