I went at 2:45pm, so I didn't run into the NoodleNazi at his noontime peak. I think I did see him in his mild manner.

By meowmi 1 year ago Is this supposed to be jia jiang men? If so, it doesn't look quite right (though to be honest, I haven't found one that actually uses any significant amount of jiang at all).

Is it bean paste? If so, the bean paste noodles have a darker sauce and are much more flavorful, in my opinion.

By henrychan 1 year ago I don't think it's supposed to be jia jian mein, which uses a darker pastey sauce. I think this dish uses sesame oil for the flavor.

I would also love to try some good jia jian mein.

I've actually seen some dishes that try to pass themselves off as jia jiang men that look like this. Pathetic. :-)
