By cloudy 3 years ago A very dark beer, it's a Belgian style dark beer. The Quadrupel refers to the malt content of the beer, which in this case means 4x as much malt as a typical beer. It's quite strong at 9.8% alcohol. They blend a bit of cherry lambic beer into this so it has a hint of cherries to it in the after taste. Very smooth, but the flavor is very dense. I think this should be matched with maybe some chocolate or something that is heavy. $10.00 may seem steep, but this beer come's corked and is about the size of a wine bottle. Definitely a microbrew, it even has a vintage date! If you don't like dark beers, I'd stay away from this one.
