Hyundai is not a name in Korea. There are three major department stores in Korea and Hyundai is one of them. The other two are Lotte and Shinsegae Baekhwajum (department store). I don't know if Hyundai is actually linked to the cars company, but I know for sure that it's a large retail company in Korea. Hope that helps. :)

mm i have to disagree on that, ilendil. acorn jelly has a distinct greyish/brown color. this one is pure white which is usually the chung po jelly. :)

the following link is chung po:

      this one is acorn:

AhBbJeh: you're right, when you're in a Korean bbq restaurant ordering straight up bbq, they usually do not provide you with that many side dishes..typically like 3-4 small side dishes. However, on this day, I sat on the tofu house side and got meat on the side with my soon tofu...but then again, this was a lot of side dishes even for just the tofu! Maybe this place is special for giving many side dishes. hehe. They were ok tasting..not GREAT, but not bad

that is actually 'mook' = 'jelly.' I don't quite remember how it tasted, but from the looks of it, it looks like 'chung po mook' which is green pea jelly. The other more common jelly served in Korea is 'dotori mook' which is acorn jelly...that one is pretty tasty with veggies and dressing.hope that helps

I don't remember seeing a korean name...I don't think this is a well known place cuz it was kinda in the ghetto part of Koreatown in a small tiny plaza. It's been awhile since I last went, so it could be possible the name has changed?!

Yup! You do get to choose your burger meat. They have a paper where you check the boxes (kind of meat, etc) and you hand it to the person there and they bring it to your liking.

AhBbJeh: mmm, it's considered a summer food because the noodle is cold. I agree though, the spice will make you sweat! :)
