The food in this restaurant is so horrendous is what prompted me to post this write up. I want to forewarn everyone and save their hard earned money. Toros in Alhambra and Osho in Monterey Park are a lot better. The décor in the restaurant is much better than the typical Japanese restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley. In fact, it is quite nice! It is unfortunate that they forgot the most quintessential aspect of a successful restaurant – The Food!!! The food here is pretty much the same as all the other “cheap” Chinese version of Japanese food in the San Gabriel Valley. The sushi from the Deluxe Sushi Combination looks three day old. The short rib from the Deluxe Combination Dinner was inedible – The teriyaki chicken was tough and dry. Moreover, the “1/2 Price Sushi” was prepared by someone just learned to make sushi two hours ago.For four adults and a four year old we spent $120.00 at this restaurant. It is significantly less than Nobu, The Hump, Mori Sushi or Sushi Sasabune, but the quality is so bad that it is not worth going at any price -- even if it is free! You are better off driving a little further to Little Tokyo and go to Sushi Gen, R-23 or Hamakawa. If you must eat in the San Gabriel Valley, go to Toros or Osho.I will be shocked to see this restaurant last another two months. ..
