Anything for a fellow foodie photographer.
If you can, set your aperture to the largest possible setting (f2.8) and have the camera focus on the foreground beef. This is much more achievable on a SLR.
It's just a little salty, it's more about the other flavors, such as the fried cruller and the dried shrimp... I'm told it's pretty watered down, but I like it still.
This was pretty darn good!
Yeah, I'm a little tempted to go try the octopus...
Yes, it is Malaysian!
Goodness! It's time to go back to Ruth's Chris!
I loved it. The two different textures, smooth creamy soup and the slightly crunchy bread, was delightful. It's like ice cream on warm apple pie? The contrast really does it for me.
Yes, a bowl of chicken curry.
It's fantastic, but I'm always a little scared eating it. :)
Mortified, hmm, I don't know if my telling you more about this would help.I suppose they start with a soup base and add pig blood, tofu, fish, shrimp, mussels, pig intestines... okay, maybe I'll stop there, maybe it's a little too much craziness... but I like it, and it's quite good in moderation.
I know, but you can kind of see the leg there, right?
I think they call it indian bread, but I've seen Naan, and it's much thicker than this. I'd say it's more like thousand layer pancake. (抓餅) but then I'm not Malaysian and I really can't say for sure.
I think it was corn soup unfortunately the soup was pretty forgettable. But the bread was awesome, the different textures being mixed together is so interesting and pleasing. This, the noodles, and their crazy shaved ice were my favorites at Pa Pa Walk.
Buddy,No, not stinky enough for me. :(The best stinky tofu I had was on the side of a street in Hualien, Taiwan, and you could smell it from blocks away...
This from Pa Pa Walk was a great version of beef noodles. It's not like other places, the dryness and the little dish of chili oil really sets it apart. It had the perfect amount of kick to it.
You know, it was a weird sauce, kind of tangy, if I remember correctly.
BEST. CURRY. EVER. I. AIN'T. KIDDIN'.
